Dear Mr. Ogle:
Enclosed are the necessary documents, as I understand the requirement, to record our plat for
USR-1252 (Use by Special Review). It certainly was not our intent to be in violation and I hope
this rectifies that problem. I have included two transparencies of the plat. One was reproduced
from the signed and notarized paper plat map; I had this one made that way because that notary
didn't have an embossable seal and I was afraid the ink notary seal would rub off the
transparency. The second transparency is signed on the transparency itself and the notary seal
is embossed. Please use whichever is suitable for your purposes. Also enclosed is a check for
the recording fee and a copy of a letter from the Department of Agriculture, State of Colorado,
which I understand Canvey, our daughter, has discussed with you. If anything further is required,
please advise me at the above address, telephone (505) 856-1802, or E-mail address:
cegrsg@aol.com.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support during this entire process of
obtaining the Use by Special Review permit. Again, if anything further is required, please contact
me by the most convenient means as indicated above.
Sincer ly,
Charles E. Graves .

Dear Ms. Graves:
Please find enclosed a copy of the Rules and Regulations for Dog Breeder. The
requirements for having to license as a dog breeder are to produce greater than two
litters in a year or to transfer greater than 24 puppies in a year, The requirements for
having to license as an animal shelter are; housing animals for impoundment purposes;
or having a centralized private facility, which accepts or houses more than 24 dogs. For
this past license year (which runs from March to March), if, on your property, you did
not have over 24 dogs, nor did you have greater than two litters, then you will not be
required to license for the 1999 license year. From our telephone conversation, it
sounds like you do not meet the requirements to have to license, since you have 22
dogs on the property and have done no breeding. You can voluntarily license for dog
breeding if you will be breeding any from March 2000 to March 2001. As long as you
do not exceed the 24 number of dogs (not Counting puppies that you are trying to sell if
you do breed any) then you will not have to license as a private animal shelter either.
Sometimes, being licensed with the state will help you receive a special use permit from
the zoning board, but not always.
Please contact me with any questions you might have.
Sincerely,
j----
