Gentlemen :
At the regular meeting of the Board of Directors of Aristocrat Ranchette
Water Project, Inc. (ARWP) held Jan. 12, 1982, it was voted that this letter.
should be written to become a permanent part of your records stating the
position of the Board on certain issues arising from Special Use Permits
issued by your )ffice.
According to our By-Laws, Article 111, Section 4, sub-section c : More
than one household per service connection shall not be allowed. Article
V11, Section 5, states in part : In the event of scarcity of water or fail-
ure or partial failure of supply for any reason, The Board of Directors
shall have power to restrict and limit the use of water from said system
to domestic household purposes only.
Using these guidelines, the Board of Directors of ARWP, at their regular
meeting on July 8, 1980, imposed restrictions on any new taps and restrictec
water used from the system to be used for household (non-commercial0 use
only. Also, during the summer months of 1980 and 1981 , an hourly and daily
rationing program has been in effect. The Board of Directors feel that a
Special Use Permit for a kennel or other commercial use would be in voil-
ation of our by-laws and restrictions. The Board of Directors also voted
that, if any more Hardship permits are issued by the County, the Board
will be forced to refuse water service to that meter, since it is not per-
mitted under the above quoted by-laws.
The Board of Directors feel that this area should adhere strictly to the
argiculture zoning that now applies, with only the four animal units per
acre.
The Board of Directors of ARWP hope this will help your office in grant=
ing permits and explain our position on furnishing water to customers of
Aristocrat Ranchettes Water Project, Inc. If we can be of further help
