RE: CHANGE HEARING DATE FOR CHANGE OF ZONE #540 FROM A(AGRICULTURAL
TO PUD (PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT) - JIM AND BONNIE BATES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution #2000-0769, on April 3, 2000, the Board approved the
request of Jim and Bonnie Bates to preadvertise their application for Change of Zone #540 from
the A (Agricultural) Zone District to PUD (Planned Unit Development) Zone District, and set the
hearing date to consider said Change of Zone on May 3, 2000, at 10:00 a.m., and
WHEREAS, because of publication dates, the Clerk to the Board staff has requested to
change the hearing date to May 10, 2000, at 10:00 a.m., and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to change the hearing date for Change of
Zone #540 for Jim and Bonnie Bates from May 3, 2000, to May 10, 2000, at 10:00 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the hearing date for Change of Zone #540 be, and hereby is,
changed to May 10, 2000, at 10:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 17th day of April, A.D., 2000.

COLORADO SUBJECT: Change of Pre-Advertisement Date - COZ#540, Bates
On April 3, 2000, the Board approved the request of Jim and Bonnie Bates to pre-advertise their
application for a Change of Zone from the A (Agricultural) Zone District to a PUD (Planned Unit
Development) District with five (5) lots and hold a hearing on May 3, 2000, at 10:00 a.m. The
required publication time for this type of hearing is 15 days and I missed the publication deadline.
The County Attorney's Office has indicated that since the date was set by resolution, it will need
to be changed by resolution. I am requesting this matter be considered the following Wednesday,
May 10,2000,at 10:00 a.m.which will still reduce the normal processing time by approximately two
weeks. I have checked with Vicky and at this time there is only one other item scheduled, which
was also a pre-publication item. Currently no notices have been sent and publishing a notice on
Thursday, April 20, 2000, will meet the publication requirements for a hearing on May 10, 2000.
The applicant was required to pay a $35 processing fee, which due to this error will be refunded.
