RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR CHILD
CARE AND YOUTH SUPERVISION NEEDS ASSESSMENT SURVEY AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Memorandum of
Understanding for the development of a community plan in response to the Child Care and
Youth Supervision Needs Assessment Survey among the County of Weld, State of Colorado,
by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the
Department of Social Services, Human Services, Public Health and Environment, hereinafter
collectively referred to as "County" and, the United Way of Weld County, Aims Community
College, Centennial Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), Greeley/Weld
School District#6, City of Greeley, and City of Evans with terms and conditions being as stated
in said memorandum, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, ex-officio Board of Social Services, that the Amendment to the
Memorandum of Understanding for the development of a community plan in response to the
Child Care and Youth Supervision Needs Assessment Survey among the County of Weld, State
of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of
the "County" and, the United Way of Weld County, Aims Community College, Centennial Board
of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), Greeley/Weld School District#6, City of
Greeley, and City of Evans, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said amendment.

AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AMONG THE BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WELD COUNTY, UNITED WAY OF WELD
COUNTY, AIMS COMMUNITY COLLEGE, SCHOOL DISTRICT 6,
CENTENNIAL BOCES, CITY OF GREELEY AND CITY OF EVANS
THIS AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING is entered into this
2nd day of February , 2000, by and between the County of Weld, a political subdivision of
the State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Weld,
on behalf of the Weld County Department of Social Services, the Weld County Division of Human
Services, and the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment, hereinafter
collectively referred to as "County;" the United Way of Weld County, hereinafter referred to as
"United Way;" Aims Community College, hereinafter referred to as "Aims;" Centennial Board of
Cooperative Educational Services, hereinafter referred to as "BOCES;" Greeley/Weld School District
Six, hereinafter referred to as "School District Six;"the City of Greeley, hereinafter referred to as
"City of Greeley;" and the City of Evans, hereinafter referred to as "City of Evans."
W1TNESSETH
WHEREAS, the County, United Way, Aims, BOCES, School District Six and the City of
Greeley entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to develop a planning structure by which a
community plan may be developed that will respond to the outcomes of the Weld County Child Care
and Youth Supervision Needs Assessment Survey and to develop a comprehensive plan;
WHEREAS, the County, United Way, Aims, BOCES, School District Six and the City of
Greeley recognize the importance of including the City of Evans as a party of the Memorandum of
Understanding;
WHEREAS, the City of Evans wishes to be a party of the Memorandum of Understanding.
NOW,THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises,the parties hereto covenant and agree
as follows:
The Executive Committee Membership shall not exceed seven (7)members. Each
party will appoint up to one(1) member.
2. This Amendment, together with the original Memorandum of Understanding,
constitutes the entire understanding among the parities with respect to the subject
matter hereof, and may not be changed or modified except as stated in the
Memorandum of Understanding.

RE: Amendment to Memorandum of Understanding Among the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, United Way of Weld
County, Aims Community College, School District 6, Centennial
BOCES, City of Greeley, and City of Evans
Enclosed for Board approval is an Amendment to Memorandum of Understanding among
the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, United Way of Weld County,
Aims Community College, School District 6, Centennial BOCES, City of Greeley, and
City of Evans.
The purpose of the original Memorandum of Understanding was to develop a planning
structure by which a community plan may be developed that will respond to the outcomes
of the Weld County Child Care and Youth Supervision Needs Assessment Survey.
This Amendment allows the City of Evans to be a party of the Memorandum of
Understanding and expands the Executive Committee Membership to seven members.
All other provisions of the original Memorandum of Understanding remains the same.
