RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR THE WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY TO PROCEED WITH
LEGAL ACTION AGAINST GEORGE BEAMAN, II FOR VIOLATION OF THE WELD
COUNTY BUILDING CODE AND ZONING ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, George Beaman, II, VI #0000205, is allegedly in violation of the Weld
County Building Code and Zoning Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, despite efforts by the Planning staff to resolve said matter, the violation has
not been corrected, and
WHEREAS, on the 14th day of November, 2000, a public hearing was held before the
Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation,
and
WHEREAS, George Beaman, II, property owner, was not present or represented at said
hearing, although all parties were notified of said hearing by Department of Planning Services
staff, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to bring legal action against the individual as
hereinabove named to correct said violation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Weld County Attorney be, and hereby is, authorized to
proceed with legal action against George Beaman, II, to remedy the violation of the Weld
County Building Code and Zoning Ordinance, and any other persons occupying the properties,
any persons claiming an interest in the properties, and any persons acting in active concert with
the identified parties.

Dear Mr. Beaman:
The property located at 15127 Caroline Avenue remains in violation of the Weld County Building Code Ordinance.
Your property is in violation of Section 83 of the Weld County Building Ordinance. I have scheduled a meeting with
the Board of County Commissioners on November 14, 2000 at 10:00 a.m., to consider the violations occurring on
the property. This meeting will take place in the County Commissioners' Hearing Room, first floor, Weld County
Centennial Center,915 Tenth Street, Greeley, Colorado. It is recommended that you and/or a representative be in
attendance to answer any questions the Board of Commissioners might have concerning this violation. This hearing
would give yon an opportunity to explain all issues regarding this violation. By making contact with me prior to this
hearing to acknowledge your willingness to comply with this matter,we will not proceed with the hearing. If no
contact is made, we will proceed with the hearing.
The Department of Planning Services'stafff will be recommending the Board of County Commissioners authorize the
County Attorney to proceed with legal action to remedy the violation if you and/or a representative are not available.
Our records indicate that you were made aware of the nature of this violation, the action necessary to correct the
violation, and that you were given sufficient time to remedy the violation. If you have any question concerning the

Dear Mr. Beaman II:
The building official has determined that the property located at 15127 Caroline Avenue is in violation
of Section 30 of the Weld County Building Ordinance. No building or structure regulated by this code
shall be erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved, removed, converted, or
demolished unless a separate building peiinit for each building or structure has been first obtained from
the Weld County Building Inspection Department. In addition to the required permit, it is required that
you also comply with the Weld County Zoning Ordinance.
It is the intention of this office to assist and cooperate with you without imposing undue hardships;
however, we have no discretion in this matter. If you fail to correct this violation by October 12, 2000,
it will be scheduled for a hearing before the Board of County Commissioners to consider whether to refer
this violation to the County Attorney's office for legal action. You must come in and meet with one of
our planners to verify that you comply with all building and zoning issues. At time of the inspection, it
may be required for you to open sections of the building to allow the building inspectors access for
inspection purposes.
Any information you have that may help to resolve this matter will be helpful.This office is ready to be
of any assistance in clarifying or answering questions concerning this matter. Please call or write the

Subject: Addition to home and 2 mobile homes on the property without an issued permit.
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Beaman:
I am writing this letter in reference to the addition that was completed on your home and the 2 mobile
homes located on your property located at 15127 Caroline Avenue. It appears that the addition has been
completed, 1 mobile home is possibly used for storage and a 3r°mobile home is just sitting there, in
which we have no record of any issued permits, which is a violation of Section 30 of the Weld County
Building Ordinance. No building or structure regulated by this code shall be erected, constructed,
enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, improved,removed, converted, or demolished unless a separate
building permit for each building or structure has been first obtained from the Weld County Building
Inspection Depai anent, to include electrical work. We have not issued a violation at this time, but if you
fail to correct this violation by July 28, 2000, a violation will be issued. Due to your previous permit
being withdrawn, you are required to apply for another permit for the addition and also get appropriate
permits for the other 2 mobile homes. Please come into our office located at 1555 North 17th Avenue
(located on O Street) to apply for all appropriate mobile home permits. We also ask that you have all
final inspections completed as soon as possible, once the permit has been issued.

8:00 A. M. and 12:00 P. M.
