RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO LAW ENFORCEMENT SPECIAL DUTY AGREEMENT
AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - RITCHIE BROTHERS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Law Enforcement
Special Duty Agreement between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the
Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Sheriff's Office, and Ritchie
Brothers, commencing January 1, 2001, and ending December 31, 2001, with further terms and
conditions being as stated in said agreement, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said agreement, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the Law Enforcement Special Duty Agreement
between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Sheriff's Office, and Ritchie Brothers be, aria
hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Char be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said agreement.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded. adopted
by the following vote on the 22nd day of November, A.D., 2000.

AMENDMENT TO LAW ENFORCEMENT SPECIAL DUTY AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 7th day of September, 2000, by at d
between the COUNTY OF WELD, STATE OF COLORADO, on behalf of ED JORDAN,
WELD COUNTY SHERIFF, by and through the Board of Count" Commissioners of Weld
County, whose address is 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631, hereinafter collective!
referred to as "County", and Ritchie Brothers, whose address is 821 WCR 27, Brighton, CCj
80601, hereinafter referred to as "Contractor."
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, on February 2, 1994, the parties hereto entered into a Law Enforcement
Special Duty Agreement, wherein County contracted to provide various special duty law
enforcement services, which are in addition to the regular law enforcement services prov idcd by
the Sheriff on an "as needed" basis for special events held, sponsored, or coordinated by
Contractor, and
WHEREAS, there is the need for certain changes to "Schedule(s) C" of said Law
Enforcement Special Duty Agreement, which changes the parties hereto desire to incorporate
into said Agreement by this Amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants container
herein and in the original Law Enforcement Special Duty Agreement between the parties dated
February 2, 1994, the parties hereto agree to amend said Agreement as follows:
1. The attached "Schedule(s) C" shall be substituted for the "Schedule(s) C"
currently attached to said Law Enforcement Special Duty Agreement, with the information. ratyti,
or total amounts billed as stated therein to become effective January I, 2001.
2. All other provisions set forth in said Law Enforcement Special Duty Agreenieni
shall remain in full force and effect.
