RE: SALARIES OF WELD COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS, Section 13-8(1) of the Weld County Home Rule Charter states that the Weld
County Council shall set the salaries of all elected officials; and furthermore, in the case of County
Commissioners, the Charter provides for a delay in the effective date of said salary increases so as
to provide for equal compensation of all Commissioners at all times; and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Council has, by a majority vote agreed that the salaries of the
Weld County Commissioners should be as follows:
$59,000. per year for the year 2003
$61,000. per year for the year 2004,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that all Weld County Commissioners shall be paid
$59,000. per year for the year 2003 to take effect on the first working day of 2003; and $61,000 for
the year 2004 to take effect on the first working day of 2004.
The motion expressed in the above Resolution was, duly made and seconded, and approved
by the following vote on the 19th day of September 2000.
