RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS TO WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Workforce Development Board, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Linda Conte be appointed to said board as
the rehabilitation services representative, to replace Nancy Hill, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Alvina Derrera, be appointed to said board
as the migrant and seasonal farm workers representative; Peggy Auker be appointed as the
older works representative; and Judy Shepperd be appointed as the adult literacy
representative, all of which are new positions on said board, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Linda Conte, Alvina Derrera, and
Judy Shepperd to said board, with their terms to expire December 31, 2002; and appoint Peggy
Auker to said board, with her term to expire December 31, 2000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Linda Conte, Alvina Derrera, and Judy Shepperd be, and hereby
are, appointed to the Workforce Development Board, with their terms to expire December 31,
2002.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that Peggy Auker be, and hereby IS, appointed to the Workforce Development
Board, with her term to expire December 31, 2000.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 5th day of July, A.D., 2000.
