RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICE AGREEMENT AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN -TOWN OF HUDSON
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Law Enforcement
Service Agreement between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Sheriffs Office, and Town of
Hudson in conjunction with the Town of Keenesburg, commencing January 1, 2001, and ending
December 31, 2001, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the Law Enforcement Service Agreement
between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Sheriffs Office, and the Town of Hudson in
conjunction with the Town of Keenesburg, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 27th day of November, A.D., 2000.

AMENDMENT TO LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICE AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT TO LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICE AGREEMENT is made
and entered into this 7th day of September, 2000,by and between the County of Weld, a political
subdivision of the State of Colorado, and the Weld County Sheriff, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of the County of Weld, whose address is P.O. Box 758, 915 10th Street,
Greeley, Colorado 80632, hereinafter referred to as"County," and Hudson/Keenesburg,whose
address is Post Office Box 351, Hudson, CO 80642 hereinafter referred to as
"Hudson/Keenesburg."
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, on June 2, 1997, the parties hereto entered into a Law Enforcement Service
Agreement,wherein County contracted to provide various law enforcement services to Town
through its Sheriffs Office, and
WHEREAS, Schedule C to said Law Enforcement Service Agreement sets the hourly rate
per deputy assigned to the event at $33, and sets the "the maximum cumulative total that
[Hudson/Keenesburg] may be billed for the service during the term of this fiscal agreement" at
$39,500.00, and
WHEREAS, the parties hereto now desire to amend said Schedule C to reset said hourly
rate and maximum cumulative total at that rate and maximum amount stated in the attached
"SCHEDULE C."
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants contained
herein and in the original Law Enforcement Service Agreement between parties dated June 2,
1997, the parties hereto agree to amend said Law Enforcement Service Agreement as follows:
1. The attached "Schedule C" shall be substituted for the"Schedule C"currently
attached to said Law Enforcement Service Agreement,with the hourly rate and
maximum yearly amount to become effective on January 1, 2001.
2. All other provisions set forth in said Law Enforcement Service Agreement shall
remain in full force and affect, except as may be modified in the attached Exhibit
C.
