* AUTHORIZATION FOR -CONSULTING ENGINEERING SERVICES *

The undersigned, as authorized agent for WELD COUNTY, COLORADO, the Client, hereby
requests ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING ASSOCIATES, INC., the Engineers, to perform the
services described below and agrees to the terms thereof.
SCOPE OF WORK: The Engineers are authorized to perform the following engineering
services:
1. Determine size of new heating coil , piping and boilers
2. Prepare mechanical installation drawings and specifications
4. Determine electrical requirements for new equipment
5. Assist in bidding
6. Conduct on-site observations of the installation
WORK NOT INCLUDED: The Engineers are not authorized to perform the following
engineering services:
1. Preparation of separate electrical drawings
2. Preparation of separate structural drawings
3. Preparation of separate architectural drawings
4. Detailed cost estimates
5. Full time construction observation
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The name, location and description of the project on which said
services are to be performed is as follows:
1. Weld County Library
2. Greeley, Colorado
CLIENT CO-COOPERATION: The Client agrees to co-operate with the Engineer and to
furnish the following to the Engineers to facilitate their performances hereunder:
1. Provide architectural , structural , mechanical and electrical as-builts
2. Issue drawings for bidding
3. Receive bids
4. Administrator the construction contract
PROJECT TERMINATION: In the event of termination of the Engineers services, the
Engineers will be paid on a quantum meruit basis for the work performed.
ENGINEERS PROPERTY: All documents developed by the Engineers relating to the project
shall remain the property of the Engineers. Reproducible mylars will be furnished for
printing at the completion of the working drawings.

DURATION OF CONTRACT: This agreement shall be in effect for a period of one year
from the date hereon.
INSURANCES
The Engineer shall maintain in force for the duration of the project Professional
Liability Insurance and Workmens Compensation Insurance.
CHARGES AND PAYMENT: The Client agrees to pay the Engineers in accordance with the
following hourly rates and charges:
1. Engineers @ $40.00/hour
2. Designers @ $25.00/hour
3. Draftsmen @ $15.00/hour
4. The estimated cost for the services described is $2700.00.
PAYMENT DUE: Invoices will be sent on the 26th day of the month for work completed
during that month. Payment is due within 30 days after receipt of the invoice. Venue
of any action shall be Weld County, Colorado. Payments not received within 30 days
shall be considered grounds for suspension of services under this agreement.
