RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR
CONSIDERATION AND INVESTIGATION OF THE PARKING LOT BID -
DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES, TRANSPORTATION DIVISION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Purchasing has requested waiver of the ten-day waiting
period for the Parking Lot Bid for the Department of Human Services, Transportation Division,
Bid Request No. B0000211, to allow commencement of work before asphalt plants close and
inclement weather starts, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the ten-
day waiting period for said bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for the Parking Lot Bid for the
Department of Human Services, Transportation Division, Bid Request No. B0000211 be, and
hereby is, waived.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the low bid from J-2 Contracting
Company be, and hereby is, accepted.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 25th day of September, A.D., 2000.

The Board of Weld County Commissioners shall give preference to resident Weld County
bidders in all cases where the bids are competitive in price and quality.
