RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS TO CHILD PROTECTION AND CITIZEN REVIEW
PANEL
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Child Protection and Citizen Review Panel,
and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Linda Chase be appointed to said board as
the regular member, to replace Kathleen Laurin; and James Whiting be appoint to said board
as an alternate member, to replace Linda Chase, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Linda Chase to said board, with
her term to expire March 4, 2003, and to appoint James Whiting to said board, with his term to
expire March 4, 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Linda Chase be, and hereby is, appointed to the Child Protection
and Citizen Review Panel, with her term to expire March 4, 2003.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that James Whiting be, and hereby is, appointed to the Child Protection and Citizen
Review Panel, with his term to expire March 4, 2002.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 18th day of September, A.D., 2000.
