HomeMy WebLinkAbout20001075 RESOLUTION RE: ACTION OF BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CONCERNING VI #9900251 AGAINST GARY CURTIS REGARDING VIOLATION OF THE WELD COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Gary Curtis, VI #9900251, is allegedly in violation of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance, and WHEREAS, despite efforts by the Planning staff to resolve said matter, the violation has not been corrected, and WHEREAS, on the 8th day of February, 2000, a public hearing was held before the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and WHEREAS, at said hearing this matter was continued to March 14, 2000, at 10:00 a.m. to allow Department of Planning Services staff additions time to confirm details of said violation, and WHEREAS, because of staffing changes regular violation hearings were not held between February 8, 2000 and May 9, 2000, this matter was brought before the Board of County Commissioners at a public hearing on the 9th day of May, 2000, for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and WHEREAS, Gary Curtis, property owner, was not present at said hearing, nor had direct contact been made with Mr. Curtis by current county staff, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to refer said violation back to the Department of Planning Services to allow adequate time to research property records and allow the property owner a chance to bring the subject property into compliance and for an inspection of the property by the Department of Planning Services staff.
