RE: APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO THE COOPERATIVE REIMBURSEMENT
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND
THE OFFICE OF THE WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of March, 1983 , the Board of County
Commissioners approved an agreement between the Department of
Social Services and the Office of the Weld County Attorney,
which states that the County Attorney' s Office would cover any
Court hearings in the event the IV-D staff attorney were unable
to be present, and
WHEREAS, the agreement stated that the fee for said cover-
age would be $1, 000, and
WHEREAS, due to the resignation of the IV-D staff attorney,
the Department of Social Services has had to rely upon the Weld
County Attorney' s Office for legal services more than originally
anticipated, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Social Services has
presented to the Board of County Commissioners an Amendment to
Agreement which increases the amount of the Cooperative Reimburse-
ment Agreement to $9, 000, and
WHEREAS, the Board, after review, deems it advisable to
approve the Amendment to Agreement, a copy of which is attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Amendment to Agree-
ment, increasing the budget amount for the back-up coverage pro-
vided by the Weld County Attorney' s Office from $1, 000 to $9, 000
be, and hereby is, approved.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 30th day of

Dear Jim:
Enclosed is Form CSE-4 requesting an amendment to the
Cooperative Reimbursement Agreement with County Attorney Tom David.
This Agreement states that Mr. David' s office would cover any
Court hearings if our IV-D staff attorney were ill or absent for
some reason.
The terms and conditions remain the same as 1982. The amended
budget exhibit is attached.
