RE: APPROVE SUPPORT OF COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS OF ST. VRAIN VALLEY
SCHOOL DISTRICT AND PARTICIPATION IN GROWTH IMPACT ALLIANCE
PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the St. Vrain Valley School District provides a vital service to our
community: education of our youth, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, supports
the efforts of St. Vrain Valley School District to collaboratively explore and strategically plan for
the impacts of growth with all communities, and
WHEREAS, Weld County will continue to offer planning and information services to the
St. Vrain Valley School District in a cooperative manner when needed for the Growth Impact
Alliance Project, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners encourages local citizens and
governing bodies to participate in the Stakeholder's Group process to help the school district
compile the views and opinions of all the varied interests in Weld County, and
WHEREAS, a representative of Weld County will act as a liaison and actively participate
in the Policy Makers' Committee conducted by the Growth Impact Alliance Project.
NOW THEREFORE BY IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, hereby supports the collaborative efforts of the St. Vrain Valley School
District and will participate in the Growth Impact Alliance Project.
