DATE: February 2, 2000 COLORADO RE: Tele-Vue Cable System Temporary Franchise Extension Tele-Vue systems, Inc. d/b/a AT&T Cable Services currently holds a franchise with Weld County, which was granted by resolution on February 20, 1985. The franchise is due to expire on February 19, 2000. Tele-Vue provides cable services to the Sylmar mobile home park adjacent to the City of Brighton. Our office has been actively involved in discussions concerning the new franchise agreement, which we believe should be fairly similar to other franchise agreements the Board has granted in the past few years. The process is expected to extend beyond the expiration date, however, and Tele-Vue has requested a six month extension on the franchise, until the new franchise can be finalized, so that cable service to that area will not be interrupted. We believe that the request is reasonable, and that the franchise process should be completed before the six months have expired. If you would like more information, please let me know.
