RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICE AGREEMENT AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN -TOWN OF SEVERANCE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, purs Jant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Law Enforcement
Service Agreement between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board
of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Sheriff's Office, and the Town of
Severance, commencing January 1, 2001, and ending December 31, 2001, with further terms
and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendme it, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners )f
Weld County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the Law Enforcement Service Agreemen
between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Sheriffs Office, and the Town of Severance
be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, auth jrized
to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, ac opted
by the following vote on the 18th day of December, A.D., 2000.

AMENDMENT TO LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICE AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT TO LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICE AGREEMENT is m sde
and entered into this 7th day of September, 2000, by and between the County of Weld, a pclitical
subdivision of the State of Colorado, and the Weld County Sheriff, by and through the Boa-d of
County Commissioners of the County of Weld, whose address is P.O. Box 758, 915 10th S'reet,
Greeley, Colorado 80632, hereinafter referred to as "County," and Town of Severance, Col )rado
whose address is Post Office Box 122, Severance, CO 80546 hereinafter referred to as "Sep"ranee."
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, on December 7, 1995, the parties hereto entered into a Law Enforcemc nt
Service Agreement, wherein County contracted to provide various law enforcement services to
Town through its Sheriffs Office, and
WHEREAS, Schedule C to said Law Enforcement Service Agreement sets the hour:y rate
per deputy assigned to the event at $33.00, and sets the "the maximum cumulative total tht!t
[Severance] may be billed for the service during the term of this fiscal agreement" at $20,0)0.00
and
WHEREAS, the parties hereto now desire to amend said Schedule C to reset said hourly
rate and maximum cumulative total at that rate and maximum amount stated in the attachec
"SCHEDULE C."
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants contained
herein and in the original Law Enforcement Service Agreement between parties dated December
7, 1995, the parties hereto agree to amend said Law Enforcement Service Agreement as follows:
1. The attached"Schedule C" shall be substituted for the"Schedule C"currently
attached to said Law Enforcement Service Agreement, with the hourly rate t,nd
maximum yearly amount to become effective on January 1, 2001.
2. All other provisions set forth in said Law Enforcement Service Agreement snail
remain in full force and affect, except as may be modified in the attached E,.hibit
C.
