RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF MARK E. WALLACE, M.D., MPH, AS DIRECTOR OF
THE WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, due to the resignation of John Pickle, a vacancy exists in the position of
Director of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Mark E. Wallace, M.D., MPH,
Director of the Department of Public Health and Environment, and Public Health Officer for
Weld County, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Mark E. Wallace, M.D., MPH, be, and hereby is, appointed
Director of Public Health and Environment, effective March 21, 2000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Mark E. Wallace, M.D., MPH, shall also
continue in his position as Public Health Officer for Weld County, which was effective
August 18, 1993.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 23rd day of February, A.D., 2000.
