RE: GRANT REQUEST FROM ALBERT CHALLENGER TO PRE-ADVERTISE CHANGE
OF ZONE #553
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from Albert Challenger, P.O. Box 448,
Evergreen, Colorado 80439, for pre-advertisement of an application for Change of Zone #553
from the A (Agricultural) Zone District to a PUD (Planned Unit Development) Zone District, and
WHEREAS, said property is described as part of the W1'2 of Section 29, Township 5
North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, after study and review the Board deems it advisable to grant said request,
with the hearing date to be set as December 13, 2000, at 10:00 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the request from Albert Challenger for pre-advertisement of an
application for Change of Zone #553 from the A (Agricultural) Zone District to a PUD (Planned
Unit Development) Zone District be, and hereby is, granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the hearing date to consider said
request be, and hereby is, set as December 13, 2000, at 10:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 30th day of October, A.D., 2000.

COLORADO SUBJECT: Request for Preadvertisement
Albert Challenger has submitted a request that the application for Change of Zone#553 from the
A (Agricultural) Zone District to a PUD (Planned Unit Development) Zone District with five (5)
Residential lots and open space including a Conservation Easement for a Heron Rookery, which
will be heard by the Planning Commission on December 5, 2000, be preadvertised. If you wish to
approve this request, a hearing before the Board on December 13, 2000, will allow adequate time
for advertising.

SUBJECT: Pre-advertising for case Z-553, Challenger P `�,
Al Challenger, applicant for the above referenced case, is requesting a pre-advertisement for the
Change of Zone, for the reasons stated in the letter attached to this memo. The Planning
Commission hearing is scheduled on December 5, 2000 and Mr. Challenger is requesting that the
Board of County Commissioner's hearing be sometime prior to January 1, 2001.
