1. Explain in detail, the proposed used of the property.
We want to start a small business that will be run by the owner and his family. We will
build a small slaughter house, as required by law, to slaughter pigs. We will have all the
necessary equipment except for knives for cutting meat. Customers will provide their own
knives and do their own cutting. Customers will pick the pig that they want. We will
weigh and kill it for them only. They will do their own cleaning and cutting. The reason
why we want to open this small business is because we want to help our people (the Asian
community), who prefers or likes to eat fresh meat. We estimate that we will slaughter
approximately 15 to 20 pigs a month. We will not be storing any meat on the site.
2. Explain how this proposal is consistent with the intent of the Weld County
Comprehensive Plan.
It is a permitted activity in compliance with the law.
3. Explain how this proposal is consistent with the intent of the Weld County Zoning
Ordinance and the zone district in which it is located.
It is in the agriculture zone.
4. What type of uses surround the site? Explain how the proposed use is consistent and
compatible with surrounding land uses.
Because it is an agriculture zone, farmers raise animals such as cows, pigs, chickens.
turkeys, etc. for their own personal use or to sell at farmers markets, etc. Some
farmers have businesses such as growing hay and corn. Others farm vegetables, etc.
5. Describe, in detail, the following:
a. How many people will use this site?
The owner and his family and customers. The owner and his family lives on the
property. Customers will come and go. They will only come when they need to
slaughter a pig or pigs.
b. How many employees are proposed to be employed at this site?
Their will be no employees employed. Just the owner and his family.
c. What are the hours of operation.
The hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It will be open seven
days a week.
d. What type and how many structures will be erected (built) on this site'?
The slaughter house and the pig pin.
e. What type and how many animals, if any, will be on this site?
There will be pigs, approximately 15 to 20 a month.
f. What kind(type, size, weight) of vehicles will access this site and how often?
Customer cars, trucks, vans. The owner has their own vehicles and a tractor.
g. Who will provide fire protection to the site'?
The owner and the Southeast Weld County Fire Department.
h. What is the water source on the property? (Both domestic and irrigation)
There are 2 existing wells on the property.
i. What is the sewage disposal system on the property? (Existing and proposed).
There are 2 existing sewage system on the property. Another one will be built for
the slaughterhouse.
j. If storage or warehousing is proposed, what type of items will be stored?
No storage or warehousing will be done on the site. Customers will come and pick
which pig they want. The pig will be weigh and killed for the customer. The
customer will do their own cleaning and cutting and than take it home.
6. Explain the proposed landscaping for the site. The landscaping shall be separately
submitted as a landscape map as part of the application submittal.

7. Explain any proposed reclamation procedures when termination of the Use by Special
Review activity occurs.

8. Explain how the storm water drainage will be handled on the site.
The storm water drainage will go into a septic sewage system and once it's full it will be
pump out.
9. Explain how long it will take to construct this site and when construction and
landscaping is scheduled to begin.
The site will be constructed as soon as all paper work as been approved and permit
granted. It should take approximately two months.
10. Explain where storage and/or stockpile of wastes will occur on this site.
The pig maneuers will be used as fertilizer for our field.
