Dear Ms. Lockman:
Pursuant to your recent telephone conversation with Joe Baumberger, enclosed please
find two (2) copies of the revised plat for USR 1280 to reflect the following:
1.) The general orientation of the station has been changed from a north/south
orientation to a northwest/southeast orientation. We made the change for visual ,is
well as acoustic purposes orienting the compressor more directly away from the
landowner to the southeast.
2.) The 30"x80' buried slug bottles have been replaced by a single, above ground slug
bottle approximately 10 feet in diameter by 65 feet long. Placing the slug bon le
above ground will eliminate any potential soil contamination and is consistent with
industry practice.
3.) We stated in the application that we intended to install atmospheric tanks near ,in
existing lease tank battery to store slug liquids from the slug bottle. We have
located horizontal tanks with a pressure rating to 50 psi which will allow storing the
liquids at a higher pressure and reducing the potential for vapor air contaminants.
Four such tanks have been added to the USR plat.

This 'setter is in response to your request for early release of building permits on the properly
described as part of the southeast quarter of Section 13, Township 3 North, Range 66 West o'
the 6`h P.M., Weld County, Colorado. Use by Special Review Permit 1280 for a natural gas
compressor site is pending on the site.
Your request has been granted with the stipulation that you proceed at your own risk. Should
USR 1280 be denied for any reason, you will be responsible for removing additional
improvements.

Dear ms. Daniels-Mika:
Bauniberger &Associates, Inc. is providing project management services for installation of HS
Gathering, LLC's Platteville Compressor Station. The station is the subject of the pending USR 1280
which was heard before the Weld County Planning Commission on August 15, 2000 and unanimously
recommended for approval to the Weld County Board of Commissioners. Ms. Sheri Lockman is the
assigned Weld County Planner.
We understand it is possible to obtain building permits prior to the final USR approval although such
permits will be subject to the final USR determination and requirements of the Weld County Planning
Commission. To minimize construction during winter months, I IS Gathering, LLC, requests buildin€„
permits he approved prior to the Weld County Board of Commissioners final USR approval.

Dear Mr knutson,
This letter is in response to your request to place a fiberglass modular building or the properly
encompassed by Special Use Permit 428 natural gas dehydration and compression facility.
Planning staff has determined that the addition of the building to be used as a lunchroom and
storage facility is not a substantial change to Special Use Permit 428. An amendment to SUP
428 will not be required.
Please contact the Weld County Building Inspection Department to obtain the appropriate
building permits.

Dear Sheri:
Pursuant to our recent telephone conversation,this letter shall serve as a request for IIS Gathering,
LLC ("HSG") to obtain Weld County's approval for the location of a Fiberglass Modular Building
("Building")on existing property described as the Frederick Station. The property is currently subject
to Special Use Permit 428:80:18 dated August 6, 1980.
The Building will serve as a lunchroom and storage facility for 3-5 employees between the hours
of 7:00 A,M. and 6:00 P.M. The Building will be on skids and will be approximately 12 feet by 16
feet in size. The Frederick Station site has existing facilities for a sewage disposal system and has an
adequate water supply in place. Any employees that will be using the Building will use the existing
facilities at the Frederick Station,
It is understood that if you approve HSG's request, HSG will need to obtain a building permit
prior to moving the Building onto location. If you need any more information concerning our request
please let me know.
