The Weld County Council met in regular session in full conformity wi cWeld-aunty
Home Rule Charter at Weld Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, Greeley, CO, Tuesday,
December 19, 2000 at 6:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by President Al Roberts. Vice President
Dwaine Kurtz, Councilman Mitchell Martin, Councilman Dan Oster, and Councilwoman
Joyce Smock were present, constituting a quorum of the members. Also present: Doug
Rademacher and the Council secretary, Bev Thomas.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Councilwoman Joyce Smock made a motion to approve
the November 21 Council minutes. The motion carried.
APPOINTMENTS:
Swearing-In Ceremony
Vice President Dwaine Kurtz plans to attend the January 2, 2001 Swearing-In
Ceremony along with Council members to be sworn in: Councilwoman Jody Malone,
Councilman Mitchell Martin, Councilman Douglas Rademacher, and Councilwoman
Joyce Smock.
Elected Officials Meeting
Councilman Mitchell Martin will attend the January 8, 2001 Elected Officials Meeting.
CORRESPONDENCE: The Council reviewed the correspondence.
NEW BUSINESS:
Payment of the Bills
Councilman Dan Oster made a motion to pay the following bills.
Mileage for President Al Roberts $15.86
Mileage for Councilman Mitchell Martin $19.52
Mileage for Councilman Oster $17.08
Mileage for Councilwoman Joyce Smock$36.60
Office Supplies for Bev Thomas $28.05
The motion carried.
Honoring Outgoing Members
Vice President Dwaine Kurtz thanked Councilman Dan Oster and President Al Roberts
for their contributions to Weld County as Weld County Council Councilmen.
Councilwoman Joyce Smock presented a plaque to President Al Roberts recognizing
his service and Councilman Mitchell Martin presented a plaque to Councilman Dan
Oster recognizing his service.

ADJOURNMENT: Vice President Dwaine Kurtz made a motion that the meeting be
adjourned. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
