RE: ITEMIZING LEGAL HOLIDAYS DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2001
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, following is a list of holidays proposed for 2001 as days off for Weld County
employees:
New Year's Day Monday, January 1, 2001
Washington/Lincoln Day Monday, February 19, 2001
Memorial Day Monday, May 28, 2001
Independence Day Wednesday, July 4, 2001
Labor Day Monday, September 3, 2001
Veterans Day November 11 falls on Sunday, therefore,
holiday is taken Monday, November 12,
2001
Thanksgiving Thursday, November 22, and Friday,
November 23, 2001 (replaces King's
Birthday)
Christmas Monday, December 24, 2001, (replaces
Columbus Day) and Tuesday, December 25,
2001
Floating Holiday Monday, December 31, 2001 (replaces
Colorado Day)
FLOATING HOLIDAYS:
Sheriffs Department (Court Personnel) -- Will follow holiday schedule as set by
State of Colorado.
District Attorney -- November 23, December 24, and December 31, 2001.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the list of holidays as set forth above shall be observed during the
calendar year of 2001 as days off for Weld County employees.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 16th day of October, A.D., 2000.
