HomeMy WebLinkAbout800397.tiff RESOLUTION RE: RENEWAL OF LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO AND THE GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY COMPANY CONCERNING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED IN MEAD, COLORADO. ' WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Weld County, Colorado is currently leasing a machinery storage yeard located in Mead, Colorado as per a lease agreement entered into between Weld County, Colorado and The Great Western Railway Company on February 1, 1937, and WHEREAS, said machinery storage yard is located on a parcel of land more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point which is the South- east corner of Block 5, in the Town of Mead; thence North along the East line of said Block 5 for a distance of 100 feet to a point; thence West for a dis- tance of 190 feet to a point which is 40 feet distant, measured at right angles, from the center line of the main line of the Great Western Railway; thence south- westerly along a line which is 40 feet distant from and parallel to the center- line of the Great Western Railway Com- pany' s main line for a distance of 107. 8 feet to a point on the South line of said Block 5; thence East along the South line of said Block 5 for a distance of 230 feet to the place of beginning which said leased premises contain 21, 000 square feet, more or less. WHEREAS, the Board desires to renew the lease agreement with the Great Western Railway Company for a period from February 1, 1980 to February 1, 1981 at the rate of $313 .00 per year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the lease agreement t60011) °) b00397 between Weld County, Colorado and the Great Western Railway Company concerning the abovedescribed parcel of land shall be renewed for a period from February 1, 1980 through February 1, 1981 at the rate of $313. 00. Steinmar DATE PRESENTED: JANUARY 28 , 1980 EXTENSION RIDER To be attached, made a part of, and incorporated into that certain Agreement dated February 1 , 1937, between THE GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY COMPANY, a Colorado corporation (Lessor) and WELD COUNTY, COLORADO (Lessee) ; covering the lease of a tract of land near Mead, Weld County, Colorado, comprising 21 ,000 square feet. IT IS HEREBY MUTUALLY AGREED by and between the parties to the herein named agreement that the term thereof shall be and hereby is extended to and including January 31 , 1980, at a rental of $313.00 per year commencing February 1 , 1979, and that all the other terms and conditions thereof shall remain in full force and effect during the extended term.
