RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS TO HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Human Services Committee, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Yvonne Benavides be appointed to said
board as a parent policy representative to replace Maria Raspberry; that Carolyn Burmeister be
appointed as a parent policy representative to replace Irene Rodriguez; that Christina Garza be
appointed as a parent policy representative to replace Janelle Buhr; that John Lee be appointed
as the City of Greeley representative; that Cornelia Dietz be appointed as the United Way
representative to replace B. J. Dean; and that Gladys Bolander be appointed as the League of
Women Voters representative to replace Joan Harrison, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Yvonne Benavides and Carolyn
Burmeister to said board, with their terms to expire December 31, 2000, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Christina Garza and John Lee to
said board, with their terms to expire December 31, 2001, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to appoint Cornelia Dietz and Gladys
Bolander to said board, with their terms to expire December 31, 2002, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Yvonne Benavides and Carolyn Burmeister be, and hereby are,
appointed to the Human Services Committee, with their terms to expire December 31, 2000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that Christina Garza and John Lee be, and hereby are, appointed to the Human
Services Committee, with their terms to expire December 31, 2001.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that Cornelia Dietz and Gladys Bolander be, and hereby are, appointed to the Human
Services Committee, with their terms to expire December 31, 2002.
