It appears you are hurrying to get it passed before too much public discussion. It seems that a limited number of invitations were sent to attend the open house. We received a letter approximately 10 days before your open house on March 29,and you expect comments returned to you by April 7. This is not an acceptable time frame in which to adequately respond. Secondly, I do not feel that there is a need for Columbine Parkway(WCR 32). A traffic light at highway 85 and 66 will stop the flow of traffic long enough for the cars at WCR 32 to turn left or go straight across to Grand Avenue. This should be sufficient. An alternative would be two traffic lights, one at highway 66 and one at WCR 32. The lights may be timed so that traffic only has to stop once traveling through Platteville. Thirdly, the people this proposal would impact the most would request a study of traffic patterns be completed of the actual number of cars on 66 that continue east on WCR 32. This is needed to determine if extending highway 66 is a legitimate use of tax payer's money. There may be many other places the money can be used more effectively. Where does Columbine Parkway go that existing WCR 32 does not? I do not see any benefit of disrupting so much farm land at great cost to build another highway when a highway already exists. Additionally, I would request information regarding the future plans for the Columbine Parkway. xc Commissioners Vaad,Geile,Hall, Baxter and Kirkmeyer 7 (17D30 2000-1173 Hello
