RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO CONSULTING AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR
TO SIGN - COLORADO OPEN LANDS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Consulting
Agreement between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Planning Services, and
Colorado Open Lands, commencing upon execution of said amendment, and ending October 1,
2000, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the Consulting Agreement between the County
of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, on behalf of the Department of Planning Services, and Colorado Open Lands be, and
hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 6th day of September, A.D., 2000.

AMENDMENT TO CONSULTING AGREEMENT
THIS AMENDMENT TO CONSULTING AGREEMENT is made this day of
September, 2000, by and between COLORADO OPEN LANDS, an Colorado non-profit
corporation,whose address is 274 union blvd.,Suite 320,Lakewood,CO 80228,hereinafter referred
to as"COL,"and the COUNTY OF WELD,a political subdivision of the STATE OF COLORADO,
by and through the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Weld, whose address is 915
10th Street, Greeley, CO 80631, hereinafter referred to as "County."
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, on October 13, 1999, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of
Weld approved by resolution a Consulting Agreement between COL and County, a copy of which
is attached hereto as "Exhibit 1," hereinafter referred to as "Original Consulting Agreement,"
wherein COL agreed to perform certain consulting services for compensation by April 30,2000,all
of which was detailed in Exhibit A attached thereto, and
WHEREAS, by letter dated June 19, 2000, County agreed to a request for the extension of
completion of the consulting services by COL to and until September 1, 2000, and
WHEREAS, COL has requested by Memo dated July 18,2000, a copy of which is attached
hereto as "Exhibit 2," additional funding for the consulting services and an extension of the
completion date to and until October 1, 2000, and
WHEREAS,County desires to consent to COL's request by approving an amendment to the
Original Consulting Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, inconsideration of the mutual promises and covenants contained
herein, and contained in the Original Consulting Agreement, the parties hereto agree to amend the
Original Consulting Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit 1, as follows:
1. Scope of Services and Fees. Amend paragraphs 2 and 5 of the Original Consulting
Agreement to include the services and compensation set forth in the attached Exhibit
2, to the extent that the services and compensation detailed in Exhibit 2 modify or
add to those set forth in Exhibit A attached to the Original Consulting Agreement.
2. Time of Completion. Amend paragraph 3 of the Original Consulting Agreement to
state that the consulting services detailed in Exhibit A to the Original Consulting
Agreement, and as modified or added to by Exhibit 2 attached hereto, shall be
completed no later than October 1, 2000.
All of the other terms set forth in the Original Consulting Agreement shall remain the same.
