Concerning Case number Z-549
I am submitting this correspondence concerning the zone change application of
Mr. Mike Cervi.
On the recomendation of Mr. Robert Anderson (Department of Planning Services) I called Mr.
Cervi several weeks ago and visited with him concerning his zone application. It very quickly
became evident that Mr. Cervi had turned over the rezoning process to a second party and was
not even aware of what is being done on his behalf.
Secondly, more and more, in our state we are seeing legislative concern over the consumption
and building over of our agricutural resources. This rezoning would seem to add further to the
problem. Particularly when considering the fact(as we know from Mr. Cervi's application) there
is really no direct aim or objective for this re-zoning.
Lastly, bear with me a little personal history. When my wife and were married we owned two
homes; one in Niwot, CO and one in Roggen. Due to the zoning in Niwot and the direction
construction was going there we decided to sell the Niwot house. We did not want to live
amongst high density, high dollar(and taxed) commercial land. Nor do we want it dropped in our
back yard.
In conclusion, my concern is not with Mr. Cervi's desire to improve his land, but the future
precedent this re-zoning may create.
Respectfully,
Glenn Teets
