Dear Franchise Authority,
This letter is to notify you that there will be a nominal rate increase for this franchise area. The
ciange will take effect August I, 2000. We will be increasing our monthly basic service rate
by $2.00 and our monthly converter rental by ten cents (.10). Enclosed please find a copy of i he
letter that will be mailed to each subscriber in our franchise. This letter will explain the changes
in detail.

Dear US Cable Subscriber:
US Cable would like to thank you for making cable television your
home entertainment choice. Providing our subscribers with the best
service and the best value is important to us, and we're glad you've
chosen US Cable as your service provider. We would like to take the
time to give you a brief update and inform you of a few changes.
Programming Choices and System Improvements
At US Cable we are proud to be part of an industry that has
changed the shape of home entertainment in America. Cable
television, with its increased program choices, brings viewers a
wealth of entertainment and information. More networks are
available for the viewer to choose from, and these networks are
producing higher quality, award-winning programs that are giving us
greater variety than ever before. For example, did you know that
the cable TV industry supplies almost 80 percent of the total weekly
hours devoted to children's programming (or approximately 341
hours per week), giving children the opportunity to view a myriad of
programs with content appropriate to their age? A large portion of
your subscription dollar funds these and many other valuable
programs.
At US Cable, our key objective is to provide our customers with a
balanced line-up of family, news, educational, arts, cultural, and
sports programming at a fair price. In keeping with this commitment,
we announced in December the addition of the Disney Channel to
our Basic Service channel line-up. The Disney Channel format is filled
with movies, series, and specials and now it is part of our Basic
Service Package.
We will continue improvements in all our systems by integrating new
technologies which will enable US Cable to provide better, quality
service and customer satisfaction as we grow with our communities.
Several areas will see channel additions as we advance into the
millennium to bring more programming choices to our viewers.
Rate Adjustments
At US Cable we understand the need to keep our rates competitive.
We operate under government rules that determine how we may

recover programming costs as well as general inflation costs.
Effective on your August billing statement,the rate for Basic Service
will increase by $2.00 per month. Our customers utilizing converter
boxes will see an additional ten cents (.10) per month for each
converter box rental. Be assured that this rate adjustment is in
accordance with all governmental guidelines and supports a variety
of valuable services. Rates for our premium service will remain
unchanged.
Service Advantage Plan
The rate for our service Advantage Plan will not change. This plan will
cover all services and repair charges which are related to wiring
inside your house, connecting wire up to 12 inches outside your
home, extra outlets, splitters, connections, and fittings.
The Service Advantage Plan will also cover entertainment system
troubleshooting,VCR hookups, and TV orVCR fine-tuning. (It does
not include component repairs).
This optional service is available at the low cost of$1 .00 per month.
When you subscribe to this plan,the benefits are simple:
Repairing in-home cable wiring or the connection to your
entertainment components is covered.
Simply call our office to schedule any repairs and we will
promptly fix the problem.
No hourly service fees will be charged, allowing you long-
term savings.
Should you choose not to be covered by Service Advantage Plan,
an hourly service fee will apply for any home visits,so call us today
and subscribe.
