Home My WebLink About20001681.tiff RESOLUTION RE: DECLARE CERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY, AND AUTHORIZE SALE OF SAME TO AULT-PIERCE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Administrative Manual require that all items disposed of be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a bid proposal from the Ault-Pierce Fire Department, and WHEREAS, the County has determined that certain equipment, described as a 1994 Ford E-350, Type Ill Ambulance, being more fully described in said proposal which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is no longer required for County use, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a proposal from the Ault-Pierce Fire Department to buy said equipment for and in consideration of the sum of$6,000.00, and WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment as surplus and approve said bid proposal. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned equipment be, and hereby is, declared surplus. May 11, 2000 -o the Board of County Commissioners: As a result of the acquisition of the last new ambulance in January, the ambulance department has a used ambulance that requires disposition. This ambulance is a 1994 Ford E-350 Type Ill with an excess of 115,000 miles. Ault-Pierce Fire Department has offered to purchase the unit for $6,000.00 and an agreement to maintain the unit as a functional ambulance available on request by Weld County Ambulance Service as a back up unit. The UHF radio remaining in the unit, should they decide to purchase it, would be transferred to them for an additional $1,500.00. feel that this is a fair and equitable agreement for all parties and that Weld County Ambulance Service and the citizens of Weld County could benefit substantially from such a arrangement in the event of the need for an additional vehicle in the future. This unit would also be staffed by Weld County Ambulance Service personnel that volunteer on the Ault-Pierce Fire Department, Tn's proposal is presented for your consideration and approval. Upon research what we found out the ambulance was sold to Ault-Pierce Fire in July of 2000, however they never re- titled the vehicle. I have gotten a duplicate title that we need to have the chair sign so we can again give it to Ault-Pierce to title in their name so they can sell it to this individual. With a bit of luck the chair of the board 15 years ago was Barb Kirkmeyer. I have given you the title to have Barb sign. When you have that if you would return everything to me then I can get this into the correct hands to get this taken care of.
