However, this sounds like a good idea. I very recently moved to CO because of the climate and the outdoors. It would be nice to keep it the way it is. The main problem in the entire world is "people pollution" ie too many people. Colorado is soon to suffer from this problem. Woodland park, according too their newspaper a few years ago was having a water supply problem, and so put a limit on new water permits issued each year. I suspect that other areas of Colorado will soon face these problems. The powers that be should be looking ahead and making plans to avert this type of problem. Another helpful solution to preserving farmland would be to give tax incentives to farm land owners with the stipulation that their land be kept agricultural for some period of time for each year of the benefit received.
