RE: APPROVE SERVICE ENHANCEMENT REQUEST#2001-01 FOR SUPPLEMENTAL
SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - SYSTEMS AND COMPUTER
TECHNOLOGY, INC. (SCT)
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with Service Enhancement Request
#2001-01 for Supplemental Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and Systems and Computer
Technology, Inc. (SCT), commencing January 1, 2001, and ending December 31, 2008, with
further terms and conditions being as stated in said request, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said request, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Service Enhancement Request#2001-01 for Supplemental
Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, and Systems and Computer Technology, Inc. (SCT), be, and
hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said request.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 20th day of December, A.D., 2000.

SERVICE ENHANCEMENT REQUEST NO. 2001-01 FOR
SUPPLEMENTAL SERVICES

Date of Request: December 1. 2000
Related Agreement: Master OnSite Services Agreement between Weld County and Systems and
Computer Technology. Inc. dated November 1993
All terms defined in the Agreement and its amendments shall have the same meaning ascribed to them
therein when used in this Service Enhancement Request. Pursuant to Section 2.2 of the Agreement,
Client hereby requests that SCT perform the Supplemental Services described below. The parties
acknowledge that any Supplemental Services to be performed pursuant to this Service Enhancement
Request shall be performed under the terms and conditions of the Agreement. In addition, unless
otherwise set forth below, any payments to be made by Client to SCT under this Service Enhancement
Request shall be made pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Agreement. The amounts to be paid by
Client to SCT under this Service Enhancement Request shall be in addition to any other amounts which
Client is obligated to pay to SCT under the Agreement.
Description of Supplemental Services:
In the last three years over 170 personal computers(more if you include Social Services state
provided PCs)have been added to the Weld County network. Associated with the user growth
are complex client server applications requiring more individualized attention to ensure they
remain on the current releases and are operating properly. This SER will provide(one)additional
User-Liaison type resource to meet the growing support requirements of end-users on the Weld
County network.
This Service Enhancement Request(SER)will provide one(1) additional resource acting as a
User Liaison to support those services defined within the scope of the master agreement dated
November 1993, similarly as follows:
- Act as User Liaison involving multiple county departments and applications.
- Provide key support for Annual Work Plan initiatives as recommended by the Governance
Committee.
- Provide direction to county departments related to IT projects to maintain existing systems or
to enhance a given department's capabilities.
- Respond to daily requests for help or questions from the end users concerning application
systems,desktop applications, and IT issues generally related to an end-user environment.
- Maintain a business relationship and a communication level with users and 3`d party vendors
that is necessary to keep abreast of end-user requirements and how they relate to a 3`a party's
application system.
- Communicate and interact with various Weld County agencies and their associated state

agencies as necessary to achieve the defined deliverable.
- Assist existing Technical Services staff with determining configuration requirements for
hardware and software installations and upgrades.
Time Frame
Projected Start Date: January 1. 2001
Projected End Date: December 31. 2008
Payment
The additional amount to be paid by the Client to SCT under this Service Enhancement Request
will contain a fixed 4%COLA, which will be applied each year effective on January 1 of each
contract year. SCT will submit an invoice to the Client on a monthly basis beginning in January
2001 in twelve equal monthly payments based on the annual payment schedule listed below.
