The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Board of
Social Services in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in
the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, June 26, 2000, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were
present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Chair
Commissioner M. J. Geile, Pro-Tem - EXCUSED
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Glenn Vaad - EXCUSED
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther E. Gesick
Comptroller, Claud Hanes
MINUTES: Commissioner Hall moved to approve the minutes of the Board of Social Services meeting of
June 21, 2000, as printed. Commissioner Baxter seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
WARRANTS: Claud Hanes, Comptroller, presented the warrants for approval by the Board in the amount
of $27,250.00. Commissioner Baxter moved to approve the warrants as presented by Mr. Hanes.
Commissioner Hall seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
CONSIDER CLOSEOUT AUTHORIZATION FORM FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999-2000 AND AUTHORIZE
CHAIR TO SIGN: Frank Aaron, Department of Social Services, stated the State requires to closeout
certain block grants for Core Services and Child Welfare. Mr. Aaron reviewed the order in which the
various funds will be closed. Commissioner Hall moved to approve said closeout authorization form and
authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Baxter, the motion carried unanimously.

SERVICES FUNDS - ACKERMAN AND ASSOCIATES, P.C.; CONSIDER TWO NOTIFICATION OF
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AWARDS FOR 2000-2001 CORE SERVICES FUNDS - ALTERNATIVE
HOMES FOR YOUTH; CONSIDER TWO NOTIFICATION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AWARDS FOR
2000-2001 CORE SERVICES FUNDS -CHILD ADVOCACY RESOURCE AND EDUCATION;CONSIDER
TWO NOTIFICATION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AWARDS FOR 2000-2001 CORE SERVICES

FOR 2000-2001 CORE SERVICES FUNDS-WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES,
AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN ALL DOCUMENTS: Chair Kirkmeyer called up items two through 13
for consideration. Commissioner Baxter moved to approve said awards and authorize the Chair to sign.
Commissioner Hall seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted
by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
There being no further business, this meeting was adjourned at 9:10 a.m.
