HomeMy WebLinkAbout20001320.tiff WASTE HANDLING PLAN for JIM'S AUTOMOTIVE MACHINE SHOP, INC The wastes and volumes expected to be generated on site include: - Household and shop trash ie: cardboard boxes, paper, empty aerosol containers, which would be collected in a dumpster and removed weekly by a local trash service such as BFI. - Scrap metals ie: cast iron, aluminum, pop cans, which would be delivered and sold to Anderson's Salvage when there is an accumulation of approximately one ton. We expect approximately 4 tons per year. - Antifreeze and used engine oil would be stored until there is an accumulation not to exceed 110 gallons each (the economic disposal quantity). It will then be disposed of by a company such as: Safety -Kleen Systems 2801 South Tejon Englewood, CO 801 10 phone: 303-761-8614 I do not expect to need their services more than once a year. - Sludge from cleaning machines (grease, oil, dirt, spent cleaning chemical) would be stored in 55 gallon drums, not to exceed 5. (the economic disposal quantity) and disposed of through: International Chemical Corporation 710 North Main Street Memphis TN 38101-2264 phone: 1-800-238-6531 Generally we use their services once a year Chemicals used in the shop include: 55 gallon drum of Zep Sodium Hydroxide used in the cleaning system. 5 gallon pail of Zep Super Flash floor cleaner. 5 gallon pail of Zep Formula 15282 aluminum cleaner. Small quantities of aerosol chemicals ie: brake parts cleaner, penetrating oils, cutting oils, spray paint. Water soluable grinding coolant which is filtered and recycled through various machines.
