RE: RATIFICATION OF APPOINTMENT OF MARIA"NOMIE" KETTERLING TO THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE WELD COUNTY LIBRARY DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld Library District has been created by action of six municipalities,
Weld County School District RE-8, and the County of Weld, all of the State of Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 24-90-110(4)(a), C.R.S., the selection committee for
the Weld Library District Board of Trustees has been appointed and has recommended the
following individual for appointment to the Weld Library District Board of Trustees:
Maria "Nomie" Ketterling - term to expire December 31, 2004
WHEREAS, said individual appears to be qualified to serve as a member of the Board of
Trustees and represent adequately the various interests within the Weld Library District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the appointment of Maria "Nomie" Ketterling to the Weld Library
District Board of Trustees be, and hereby is, ratified.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 29th day of March, A.D., 2000.

Dear Ms. Kirkmeyer:
In accordance with the state law a Nominating Committee, composed of two members from
each creating jurisdiction, must select library district board members and then each jurisdiction
must ratify the selection by resolution. The Nominating Committee for Weld Library District
met on March 20, 2000, and selected the following person:
Maria"Nomie" Ketterling to serve a second term to expire December 31, 2004.
Since it is necessary for all member jurisdictions to ratify the nomination of the committee a
sample resolution for your municipality is provided. You are encouraged to consider the
resolution as soon as possible so the Library District is not without full representation on the
Board. Our next regular meetings are March 27 and April 17, 2000. A copy of your resolution
should be sent to me at the District Office, 2227 23r' Avenue, once acted upon by your Board.
