RE: CERTIFICATE OF DEDICATION FOR A SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL SITE: AND
COMPOSTING FACILITY IN THE A (AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT - LAMBLAND,
INC., DBA A-1 ORGANICS
A public hearing was conducted on December 4, 2000, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Chair
Commissioner M. J. Geile, Pro-Tern
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Planning Department representative, Julie Chester
Health Department representative, Trevor Jiricek
Public Works representative, Don Carroll
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated October 30, 2000, and duly published November 2,
2000, in the South Weld Sun, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Lambland,
Inc., dba A-1 Organics, for a Certificate of Designation for a Solid Waste Disposal Ste and
Composting Facility in the A(Agricultural)Zone District. Lee Morrison,Assistant County Attorney,
made this a matter of record. Julie Chester, Department of Planning Services, presented a brief
summary of the proposal and entered the favorable recommendation of the Planning Commission
into the record as written. She stated the Certificate of Designation is in conjunction with Use by
Special Review Permit#1285, with was previously approved by the Board on November 1, 2000.
Robert Yost represented the applicant and stated he is available to answer questions. No public
testimony was offered concerning this matter. In response to Chair Kirkmeyer, Trevor Jiricek,
Department of Public Health and Environment, stated he has no comments regarding this
application. Don Carroll, Department of Public Works, stated he is working with the appl cant to
complete the Improvements Agreement.
Commissioner Geile moved to approve the request of Lambland, Inc., dba A-1 Organics, for a
Certificate of Designation for a Solid Waste Disposal Site and Composting Facility in the
A(Agricultural)Zone District,based on the recommendations of the Planning staff and the Fanning
Commission. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Baxter, and it carried unanimously.
