HomeMy WebLinkAbout20002288.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE ACCEPTANCE OF DONATION OF $40,000 TO WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT FOR THE GREEN WASTE TRANSFER STATION PROJECT FROM NATIONAL HOG FARMS, INC. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, National Hog Farms, Inc., has donated $40,000 in the form of Supplemental Environmental Project funds to the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment for the Green Waste Transfer Station Project, pursuant to the Compliance Order on Consent entered into between the Air Pollution Division of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and National Hog Farms, Inc., for settlement of an enforcement action taken by the Air Pollution Division of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment for violation of Air Quality Control Commission Regulations. WHEREAS, it is the policy of Weld County to formally accept all donations via Resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the donation of$40,000 by National Hog Farms, Inc., be, and hereby is, accepted and designated for use by the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment for the Green Waste Transfer Station Project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that a copy of this Resolution, along with a letter of appreciation, be forwarded to National Hog Farms, Inc. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the County Staff is directed to establish a separate fund to account for this donation and to provide accounting and reporting to National Hog Farms and the Air Pollution Control Division to satisfy the terms of ¶6 of the Compliance Order on Consent. �C fNL 4/PL 2000-2288 HL0018 The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 25th day of September, A.D., 2000.
