Subject: census response & meeting with Longmont officials
Dear Commissioners:
Was disappointed to read that Weld County has had the lowest percentage
return of census forms of the eight area counties! Suggest you consider
sponsoring some media exposure emphasizing the benefits to Weld
residents of responding. Also consider the impact of seasonal residents
of the county from out of state or country who will not be counted.
Understand that your April 12 meeting with Longmont officials will be
held in a restaurant where there will be no public input and limited
room to accommodate interested citizens. Suggest you consider arranging
to have it held in city council chambers or other larger venue.
