Describe specifically the circumstances surrounding the incorrect value or tax, including owner's

North American Resources Company purchased various oil and gas gathering
systems on December 31, 1996. The compressors acquired with these systems
were originally recorded and rendered at a new cost as of December 31, 1996.
Since these compressors were several years old at the time of purchase, the
value reported was in excess of the fair market value as of the acquisition
date. Subsequent to the acquisition, North American Resources Company
solicited bids to determine the fair market value of these compressors as

North American Resources Company purchased various oil and gas gathering
systems on December 31, 1996. The compressors acquired with these systems
were originally recorded and rendered at a new cost as of December 31, 1996.
Since these compressors were several years old at the time of purchase, the
value reported was in excess of the fair market value as of the acquisition
date. Subsequent to the acquisition, North American Resources Company
solicited bids to determine the fair market value of these compressors as
