NOTICE OF HEARING ON PETITION
IN RE THE ORGANIZATION OF VISTA RIDGE METROPOLITAN DISTRICT,WELD
COUNTY, STATE OF COLORADO
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there was filed in the District Court in and
• for the County of Weld and State of Colorado,on the 17th day of March,2000,a Petition entitled"In
Re the Organization of Vista Ridge Metropolitan District,Weld County, State of Colorado," which
Petition prays for the organization of a metropolitan district, pursuant to the provisions of Title 32,
Article 1, Part 3, Colorado Revised Statutes. Notice is further given that a Service Plan for the
proposed District and a Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Erie, Colorado,
approving the Service Plan were also filed with the Court in this matter as required by law. Said
documents are now on file at the office of the Clerk of the District Court,Weld County Courthouse,
901 9t°Avenue, in Greeley, Colorado, and are available for public inspection.
The purposes of the District are as follows:
(a) street improvements;
(b) safety protection;
(b) park and recreation;
(c) water facilities;
(d) sanitation and storm drainage;
(e) transportation; and
(f) television relay and translation.
The proposed District encompasses approximately 923 acres and is generally located on the
north side of Baseline Road/State Highway 7, and east of Weld County Road 3, in Erie, Weld
County, Colorado. The legal description of the proposed District is attached as Exhibit "A".
NOTICE IS GIVEN that any time after the filing of the Petition for Organization of the
proposed District in the District Court for the County of Weld,but no later than ten(10)days before
the day fixed for the hearing thereon, the owner of any real property within the proposed District
may file a petition with the Court stating reasons why said property should not be included in the
proposed District and requesting that said real property be excluded therefrom. Such petition shall
be duly verified and shall described the property sought to be excluded. The Court shall hear said
petition and all objections thereto at the time of the Hearing on the Petition for Organization and
shall determine whether, in the best public interest,said property should be excluded or included in
the proposed special district.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that by an Order of the District Court in and for the
County of Weld,a Public Hearing on said Petition for Organi7ation will be held at the hour of 8:30
a.m., in District Court Room 401,Division 1, at the Weld County Courthouse, 901 9t Avenue, in
Greeley, Colorado, on Tuesday, the 15th day of August, 2000, at which time and place any parties
or persons in interest may appear if they so desire, within the limitations provided by law.
