RE: ITEMIZING LEGAL HOLIDAYS DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2002
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, following is a list of holidays proposed for 2002 as days off for Weld County
employees:
New Year's Day Tuesday, January 1, 2002
Washington/Lincoln Day Monday, February 18, 2002
Memorial Day Monday, May 27, 2002
Independence Day Thursday, July 4, 2002, and Friday,
July 5, 2002 (replaces Colorado Day)
Labor Day Monday, September 2, 2002
Veterans Day November 11, 2002
Thanksgiving Thursday, November 28, 2002, and
Friday, November 29, 2002 (replaces
King's Birthday)
Christmas Tuesday, December 24, 2002, (replaces
Columbus Day) and Wednesday,
December 25, 2002
FLOATING HOLIDAYS:
Sheriffs Department (Court Personnel) --Will follow holiday schedule as set by
State of Colorado.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the list of holidays as set forth above shall be observed during the
calendar year of 2002 as days off for Weld County employees.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 15th day of October, A.D., 2001.
