RE: APPROVE SETTING SPECIAL MEETING TO CONSIDER PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF EVANS, COLORADO, FOR PORTIONS OF 37TH
STREET AND 65TH AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the Board has been presented with a Petition for Annexation of certain portions
of 37th Street and 65th Avenue, being more particularly described in said petition, to the City
Council of the City of Evans, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve schedule a Special
Meeting to consider said petition, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference, and allow additional time for discussions between the Cities of Greeley and Evans.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the consideration of the Petition for Annexation of certain portions of 37th
Street and 65th Avenue, being more particularly described in said petition, to the City Council of
the City of Evans, Colorado, be,and hereby is,continued to a Special Meeting of the Weld County
Board of Commissioners scheduled for Tuesday, July 17, 2001, at 10:15 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 16th day of July, A.D., 2001.
