RE: APPROVE 2002 AMOUNT TO BE PAID FOR THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF GREELEY AND WELD COUNTY FOR
ISLAND GROVE PARK MANAGEMENT SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, certain City of Greeley buildings and structures are located within Island Grove
Park, and certain public buildings owned by Weld County are located on the fringes of the park,
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners approved an Intergovernmental
Agreement between the City of Greeley and Weld County concerning Island Grove Park
Management Services on October 24, 1984, and
WHEREAS, County and City staff have recommended that the total 2002 budget amount to
be paid to the City of Greeley in accordance with the Intergovernmental Agreement dated
October 24, 1984, is $322,718 plus $3,000 for capital improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the amount to be authorized to be paid by Weld County to the City of
Greeley for the 2002 operating costs associated with the Intergovernmental Agreement
between the City of Greeley and Weld County for Island Grove Park Management Services be,
and hereby is, $322,718, plus $3,000 for capital improvements.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 17th day of December, A.D., 2001.
