RE: APPROVE VACATION OF USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#699 -JACK
OLOFSON
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution dated October 30, 1985, the Board did approve Use by
Special Review Permit#699 for a Greyhound Kennel for Charlotte Watkins on the following
described real estate, to-wit:
NE1/4 SW1/4 of Section 6, Township 2 North,
Range 64 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from the current owner, Jack Olofson,
11270 Weld County Road 49, Hudson, Colorado 80649, to vacate said Use by Special Review
Permit#699, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners heard all of the testimony and
statements of those present, studied the request of the applicant and the recommendations of
the Department of Planning Services staff and all of the exhibits and evidence presented in this
matter and, having been fully informed, deems it advisable to approve said vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Use by Special Review Permit#699 be, and hereby is, vacated.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 11th day of April, A.D., 2001.

SUBJECT: Vacation of USR-699
The Department of Planning Services has received the attached letter dated March 14, 2001
from Jack O. Olofson. Mr. Olofson is requesting that USR-699 be vacated since the use is no
longer being performed on the property.
Background information:
Legal Description: NE4 SW4 Section 6, T2N, R64W of the 6th P.M., Weld County, CO.
Location: East of Weld County Road 49, 3 1/4 miles north Weld County Road 18 .
The site is 5 miles northwest of Keenesburg.
USR-699: USR-699 was for a greyhound kennel.
Mr. Olofson recently applied for Recorded Exemption 2979. Because the Use by Special
Review Permit is no longer active, the Department of Planning Services required the vacation of
USR-699 as a condition of approval. This request for vacation of USR-699 is to satisfy the
Department of Planning Services' condition.
