CDOT Beg s Paving Project on SH 52 and $
WELD COUNTY—Work ;:gins April 23 to repave sections of SH 52 and US 85 at three locaticas in
south Weld County.The Colorado )epartanent of Transportation(CDOT) awarded the project to LaFarg
Corporation of Ft. Collins.
Repaving begins on SH 52, from 1-25 to US 85 at Ft. Lupton, a distance of eight miles.The sem I
location on SH 52 begins east of I-76 and extends to 7.5 miles east of Hudson.Repaving 4f WS 85 will i‘ dude
12 miles, extending from north of Brighton to just north of Ft.Lupton.
The project will consist of heat treatment of existing pavement,new asphalt overlay id guardrai
improvements.In addition,two lute%sections on US 85—at Weld county roads 2 and 14.S-74.11 be repay 4 in
concrete.
Access for local traffic will be maintained throughout project duration,which is ex re. to be colnplete
in early fall. During the project,motorists will encounter some delays and single-lane des;in:s,Monday through
Friday, during daylight hours, as well as single-lane alternating traffic on SH 52.Further infilttnation will be
disseminated as the project progresses.
