RE: CONFIRMING DESIGNATION OF WELD COUNTY AMBULANCE SERVICES AS THE
WELD COUNTY PARAMEDIC SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Administration has recommended a name
change for the Weld County Ambulance Services to the Weld County Paramedic Services to
more accurately reflect the nature of services provided, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to designate the
Weld County Ambulance Services as the Weld County Paramedic Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Weld County Ambulance Services be, and hereby is, formally
designated as the Weld County Paramedic Services.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that said change in designation be effective
January 1, 2002
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that any agreement or contract approved by
the Board of County Commissioners with respect to the Weld County Ambulance Services, but
not yet executed by the other parties to the agreement or contract, be deemed modified,
affected, amended or terminated by this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Clerk to the Board be, and hereby
is, directed to arrange for Colorado Code Publishing to supplement the Weld County Code with
the name change contained herein as it currently exists within said Code .
