RE: GRANT REQUEST FROM DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING SERVICES TO
PREADVERTISE CHANGE OF ZONE #554 -JERRY AND MARGARET SAMBER
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from the Department of Planning
Services, on behalf of Jerry and Margaret Samber, 37441 Weld County Road 153, Stoneham,
Colorado 80754, for preadvertisement of an application for Change of Zone #554 from the A
(Agricultural) Zone District to the C-3 (Commercial) Zone District, and
WHEREAS, said property is described as Lots 10, 11, and 12, Block 3 of the
Unincorporated Town of Stoneham, Colorado; being part of Section 5, Township 7 North,
Range 56 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, after study and review the Board deems it advisable to grant said request,
with the hearing date to be set as February 28, 2001, at 10:00 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the request from the Department of Planning Services, on behalf
of Jerry and Margaret Samber, for preadvertisement of an application for Change of Zone #554
from the A (Agricultural) Zone District to the C-3 (Commercial) Zone District be, and hereby is,
granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the hearing date to consider said
request be, and hereby is, set as February 28, 2001, at 10:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 29th day of January, A.D., 2001.

COLORADO SUBJECT: Request for Preadvertisement
Under the direction of the Board, the Department of Planning Services has submitted a request,
on behalf of Jerry and Margaret Samber, to preadvertise the application for Change of Zone#554
from the A (Agricultural) Zone District to the C-3 (Commercial) Zone District, which will be heard
by the Planning Commission on February 20, 2001. If you wish to approve this request, a hearing
before the Board on February 28, 2001, will allow adequate time for advertising.

Subject: Change of Zone
Date: October 5, 2000
Dear Mr. Warden,
Under the direction of the Board of County Commissioners' the Department of Planning
Services is proceeding with a Change of Zone application for the Dewey's Tavern located on
blocks 10,11,12 of Stoneham. Our department has received direction to waive the fees
associated with this change of zone as well as seek funding to conduct the engineering work
and mylar required to satisfy the surveying requirements. I am therefore, requesting
approximately $2000.00 to conduct this survey. I have been unsuccessful in obtaining a more
specific estimate for cost of surveying work, and as soon as I have a specific cost estimate I will
forward this to you as well as the recipient of the funds. If you have any other questions
concerning this I can be reached at extension 3550.
