RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC DURING THE TEMPORARY
CLOSURE OF VARIOUS WELD COUNTY ROADS FOR FIVE WORKING DAYS, TO
REPLACE A CULVERT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 42-4-410(6)(a), C.R.S.:
"...local authorities, with their respective jurisdiction may, for the
purpose of road construction and maintenance, temporarily close
to through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion
thereof for a period not to exceed a specified number of work
days for project completion and shall, in conjunction with any such
road closure establish appropriate detours or provide for an
alternative routing of the traffic affected...", and
WHEREAS, the Board, pursuant to said statute and upon the basis of traffic and
personal investigations, has determined that conditions exist which make it necessary to
temporarily close to through traffic and to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on said
County roads by posting signs thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, deems it necessary to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on
County roads and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of
such traffic control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn and/or guide
traffic thereon for the safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices shall
conform to the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 21 between Weld County
Roads 32.5 and 34, be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective December 10,
2001, for approximately five working days, and further, that standard official traffic control
devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 34 between Weld County
Roads 19.5 and 21, be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective December 10,
2001, for approximately five working days, and further, that standard official traffic control
devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 10th day of December, A.D., 2001.

Two road closures for one project:
WCR 21 between WCR 32.5 and WCR 34 and
WCR 34 between WCR 19.5 and WCR 21
Both roads are being closed for the same project, and will be closed 12/10/01
for approximately five working days to replace a culvert.
The appropriate documentation is attached.
