NAME: Easton Aviation/Bob Easton
The Weld County Health Department has reviewed this proposal. It is our understanding that the
Valley View Airfield is a privately owned airport that provides a variety of flight operations to the
public. According to a phone conversation with Bob Easton, there is a septic system that was in
installed in the late 1960's when the airport was originated. The Department has no record of the
septic system. It appears that this use is a commercialized use that was never properly permitted.
The Department recommends that the system be reviewed by a Registered Professional Engineer
and demonstrate that it is properly designed for the commercial use.
As such, the Department recommends approval with the following condition:
1. The Environmental Health Services Division was unable to locate a septic permit for the
septic system serving the existing structure. The septic system shall be reviewed by a
Colorado Registered Professional Engineer. The review shall consist of observation of the
system and a technical review describing the systems ability to handle the proposed
hydraulic load. The review shall be submitted to the Environmental Health Services Division
of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment. In the event the system
is found to be inadequately sized or constructed the system shall be brought into
compliance with current Regulations.
