RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT#2 TO INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR
PURCHASE OF FOOD PREPARATION SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO
SIGN - UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN COLORADO
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with Amendment#2 to the
Intergovernmental Agreement for the Purchase of Food Preparation Services between the
County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, Area Agency on Aging, and the
University of Northern Colorado, commencing January 1, 2002, and ending December 31,
2002, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Amendment#2 to the Intergovernmental Agreement for the
Purchase of Food Preparation Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of
Human Services, Area Agency on Aging, and the University of Northern Colorado be, and
hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 26th day of November, A.D., 2001.

SUBJECT: Amendment to the Food Services Agreement
with UNC
Enclosed for Board approval is an amendment to the Food Services Agreement with UNC that
provides meals for the Area Agency on Aging Senior Nutrition Program. The agreement amends
the cost per meal from $3.24 per meal to $3.42 per meal based on the annual increase in the
consumer price index. The new rate will be effective on January 1, 2002.
The amendment is consistent with the original terms of the this intergovernmental agreement.

AMENDMENT#2 TO THE
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF FOOD PREPARATION SERVICES
BETWEEN
THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN COLORADO
AND
WELD COUNTY DIVISION OF HUMAN SERVICES
THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this.2Liday of Nt0tb2 (9k r ,2001, by and between the State of Colorado
acting by and through the Board of Trustees of the University of Northern Colorado, Department of Auxiliary Services for the
use and benefit of Dining Services,501 20th Street,Greeley,Colorado 80639,hereinafter referred to as"Vendor",and the Weld
County Division of Human Services'Area Agency on Aging, 1551 N. 17th Avenue,Greeley,Colorado 80632,hereinafter referred
to as the"Nutrition Program".
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS,the Nutrition Program desires to continue to purchase meals from Vendor; and
WHEREAS,the Nutrition Program and Vendor are desirous of amending the original agreement entered into December 1, 1997.
NOW,THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed:
1. The Nutrition Program will reimburse Vendor at the rate of$3.42 for a complete meal,including/2 pint of milk,based on the
on the increase in the Consumer Price Index(C.P.I.)-All Urban Consumers to 5.4%from 3.9%from the preceding year for the
Denver/Boulder/Greeley area,calculated for the period July 1,2000 through June 30,2001.
2. All other terms and conditions of the original agreement shall remain in effect unless otherwise stated in this Amendment.
3. The terms of this Amendment extend from January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2002. This Amendment shall be
terminated immediately in the event of loss of funding.
